• Number of Frame Sides — A 4 sided frame uses four straight members joined to form the rectangular outer mounting frame from which the circular panel is suspended. A 4 sided frame with sill adds an extended bottom member for windows above a visible sill. No frame attaches the shutter directly via hanging strips for a frameless installation.

• Frame Type — Four frame profile styles are available ranging from flat to molded edge details, selected to match the surrounding trim style and any adjacent millwork.

• Shutter Gap — Building true to size fabricates to the exact submitted dimensions. Adding a 1/8 inch gap creates a small clearance reduction around the perimeter that eases installation where seasonal wood movement or slight construction variance is a factor.

How to Measure a Round Window

Round windows require width and height measurements of the opening entered in whole and decimal inches. For a true circle, width and height will equal the diameter. 

Measure the width at the widest horizontal point and the height at the tallest vertical point, taken at the inner edge of the opening for inside mount or at the outer face of the surrounding trim for outside mount.
